A licensed landscape architect with more than five years of experience, Durekas specializes in the design of outdoor environments for children and has led a diverse range of projects including natural outdoor learning environments, therapeutic and universally designed landscapes, public community parks, outdoor classrooms, and outdoor library gardens.

On June 13, 2025, Mayor Muriel Bowser joined leaders from the Department of General Services (DGS),DC Public Schools (DCPS), and the Ward 4 community to break ground on a major $22 million, 21,000-square-foot addition at Barnard Elementary School. The event marked a key milestone in the ongoing modernization of the school and investment in the Petworth neighborhood.

Ian LeFever Earns Architecture License
Ashley McGraw Architects is pleased to announce that Ian LeFever has passed his Architectural Registration Exam and completed the requirements to become a licensed architect in the District of Columbia.
