Stone House Family Center
Purposeful learning and play environments create opportunities for comfort, exploration, and connection for children and families rebuilding their lives.Stone House partners with more than 2,000 adult and children survivors of domestic violence and related trauma each year. Stone House connects families with the housing, childcare, community-based services, and other resources they need to live independently and safely. The Family Center at Stone House offers weekday drop-in childcare to residents and parents attending groups or meetings. The childcare center can hold 57 children, ages two months to five years old.
Working closely with the base building architects, our firm designed the learning center and the playground. Within the limited 3,000 SF the play space provides a hill, a multi-age log climber, a musical area, shade seating, and a projected play space for infants.
