Football Locker Room Renovation and Expansion
A renovation and large expansion that helps position Colgate as a premiere athletic institution. The project included the design of approximately 2,414 square feet for the expansion of the Colgate University football team locker room and the conversion of a former bowling alley into the Athletic Academic Enhancement Center. The football locker room renovation, completed during the summer of 2017, added 91 state of the art lockers, a new audiovisual system, and team logo displays.
Located in the former bowling alley at the heart of Reid Athletic Center, the new Academic Enhancement Center is three times larger than the previous facility and provides student athletes with a state-of-the-art study environment. Images and artifacts representing each of Colgate's 25 Division I sports are incorporated throughout the design, celebrating the University's athletic tradition while reinforcing its commitment to academic excellence.
As President Brian W. Casey stated, "We are going to be the premier academic institution that is going to compete at the highest level athletically. That is what Colgate represents for this nation."
