Ashley McGraw Architects to Present at 2026 Building Stronger Centers

Mike Lindstrom, Joanne Hiromura, Toni Marcoux, and Amy Wolfson to Present at Building Stronger Center

Ashley McGraw Architects is pleased to announce that Mike Lindstrom, Principal; Joanne Hiromura, Principal; Toni Marcoux, Associate Principal; and Amy Wolfson, Landscape Designer will present at the Building Stronger Centers training program, hosted by Children’s Investment Fund from May 18-21, 2026.

The team will lead a session titled “High-Quality Environment and the Design Process” on May 20, 2026, from 1:15–2:35 PM. This session builds on Ashley McGraw Architects’ long-standing involvement with the Building Stronger Centers program, where the firm has contributed to training and technical assistance efforts for many years.

The presentation will explore the critical relationship between physical environment and early childhood outcomes, emphasizing how design decisions directly influence behavior, development, and learning. Through case studies and research-based frameworks, the session will examine common challenges in early childhood facilities and demonstrates how thoughtful design—ranging from spatial organization and behavior settings to sensory-rich environments—can significantly improve quality and functionality. Participants will also gain insight into the full design process, from early visioning and programming through conceptual design, development, and construction, with practical strategies for aligning project goals, budgets, and long-term growth.
