Project Manager
We seek to hire a Project Manager who will express their passion for educational design and is driven to create beautiful, energy efficient buildings.  

Managing our K-12 projects will challenge you every day to produce elegant design solutions, serve and satisfy a diverse client base, and lead your team of talented, creative designers to reach their full potential.  Working collaboratively with your team, you will lead the project from concept through construction.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and validating project scope and fee, budget, and scope of services with the client and consultants.
  • Preparing and delivering project presentations.  
  • Communicating with client and team consultants. 
  • Assisting in the negotiation and execution of client and consultant contracts.
  • Ensuring quality assurance and quality control measures are met throughout the project.
  • Mentoring and instructing team members.
  • Fostering collaborative and on-going relations with clients and consultants.
  • Finding the deeper meaning and design possibilities in your projects.

Requirements include:

  • Experience designing in Revit.
  • Knowledge of sustainable building science principles.
  • Clear communication skills – written and oral.

  • Coordinating consultant efforts.

Architectural Designer

We seek to hire an Architectural Designer with 3+ years’ experience who will express their passion for educational design and is driven to create beautiful, energy efficient buildings.  


Responsibilities include:

  • Develop design concepts while adhering to code and regulatory requirements.
  • Learn and apply the principles of sustainable design.
  • Produce drawings during schematic, design development, and construction document phases.
  • Correct and update drawings.
  • Develop solutions to design problems.
  • Assist in code and specification research.
  • Execute construction administration tasks as assigned.
  • Other drafting, data entry, and document processing tasks as assigned.

Requirements Include:

  • Experience designing in Revit.
  • Desire to grow in your career development.
  • Knowledge of sustainable building science principles.
  • Clear communication skills – written and oral.
  • Good organizational skills.

Located in downtown Syracuse for over 30 years, Ashley McGraw Architects’ work represents a wide range of building types, including K-12 schools, colleges and universities, and community/civic buildings. THE OFFICE

Located in the heart of downtown Syracuse, you are a few blocks to historic Armory Square and its finest shopping, dining, and nightlife. The office features an open landscape concept with no furniture partitions between workstations, promoting a visually open and collaborative environment with the flexibility for easy change of task and project teams. A variety of workspaces are available for daily use including sit-to-stand desks at every workstation, breakout hubs, and larger gathering spaces with various technologies available. Our office is bright and open while offering sweeping panoramic views of the City of Syracuse and surrounding area.

STUDENT INTERNSHIPS

Students interested in internships during their college years should submit their resume and portfolio samples for consideration.  Applications for summer internships are due in March. Applications for semester part-time internships are accepted year-round. To qualify for consideration, internship applicants must be rising seniors or graduate students with knowledge of Revit.
